Applications for TIAFT Travel Grants to the 2026 Annual Meeting are now being accepted. For this year, only DCF Members will be eligible. Remember that as a joint SOFT-TIAFT meeting, additional travel support for ALL members is via the Huestis & Smith International Travel Award.
TIAFT Travel Grants will be awarded for members to attend the TIAFT Annual Conference in Chicago, USA, 19-24th September, 2026. This will be a joint meeting with SOFT.
Grants will be awarded to up to 3 DCF Members, provided they meet the eligibility criteria (including submission of an abstract to the Annual Meeting) and can demonstrate a strong need for financial assistance.
As for last year, due to the high number of submissions we receive we are using a new approach to enable fair and greater opportunities for DCF members by introducing a prioritisation cycle for regions. Importantly this does not preclude any DCF member from any region from submitting an application but know that priority will be given during the review process to 2 regions each year. For Chicago, priority will be given to Africa and Asia.

The application due date is 16th May 2026. Please do not leave it to the last minute!!
All applicants will be notified after the mid-year Board meeting at the end of May.

Also remember that the deadline for workshop proposals for Chicago is 13th March 2026, for abstract submissions 30th April 2026 and registration opens on 19th May 2026.
