SOFT/TIAFT 98 has now closed its accounts. Everyone who registered with the Sandia registration has now received a copy of the Proceedings book by mail from Dr. Rao. If you wish to purchase the book, you may send a check for $55 to Vina Spiehler, 422 Tustin, Newport Beach, CA 92663 USA. Please indicate that it is for the 98 Proceedings book. The book is 703 pages, 6 inches by nine inches and contains 77 scientific presentations, a table of contents, author index and subject index.

Dr. Alvord's book "The Scalpel and the Silver Bear" has been mailed to all who registered for the Tuesday Workshop in Santa Fe at which Dr. Alvord was the speaker.

The SOFT/TIAFT Organizing Committee has written a check for all the excess money remaining in the meeting bank account to the TIAFT Developing Countries Fund for use in assisting scientists from developing countries to attend future TIAFT meetings. After paying off the bills, this was four thousand one hundred and twelve US dollars and 70 cents ($4,112.70).
